We are thrilled to announce that the first mediation of its kind in a family matter was led ABS & Co’s Barrister Zainab Nasir Khan.
The mediation took place at the Rawalpindi Bench of the Lahore High Court.
This the first time ever that a court mandated process for mediation has been started under the supervision of the Lahore High Court. Justice Jawaad Hassan passed the order in a family matter and appointed Zainab to act as the mediator in this historic matter.
Justice Mushir Alam, ex-Judge of the Supreme Court, lauded the “sincere efforts” of all stakeholders. Commenting on the occasion, Inamullah Ansari noted that this effort “signifies a progressive step towards alternative dispute resolution mechanisms in Pakistan” and “underscores the judiciary’s commitment to exploring and promoting alternative and amicable dispute resolution methods”.
