Barrister Zainab Nasir Khan works as a Senior Associate at the Islamabad Office. She holds a Diploma in Law and a LL.B. (Hons.) from the University of London International Programmes. During her final year of undergraduate studies, she represented her school at the first ever Moot Court Competition organized by the United States Educational Foundation in Pakistan (USEFP) in Islamabad. At the conclusion of the two day competition, she was awarded the Best Speaker Award amongst all the delegates and speakers who participated.
After completion of her LL.B., she started the Bar Professional Training Course (BPTC) at BPP Law School in London. During the BPTC, she was selected as one of the Student Representatives responsible for liaising between the students and the BPTC Programme Coordinators at the school. Ms. Khan also completed BPP Law School’s programme requirement of working with the Pro Bono Centre at the school, by assisting individuals at the Immigration Tribunal in London.
In November 2016, Ms. Khan was Called to the Bar of England & Wales by The Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn. After returning to Pakistan, she completed two different internships, as well as partaking in the 5th South East Asia Leadership Academy (SEALA) as a member of the Administrative Team.
She joined ABS & Co. in March 2018 and has assisted the Partners and Senior Associates on various cases and assignments. She has a keen interest in both contentious and non-contentious matters and is looking forward to building her career as a litigator, with an acute interest in Constitutional Law.
Ms. Khan is also an ADR Group (ADRg) Accredited Civil & Commercial Mediator having certified in London. The ADR Group is an internationally recognized leading authority in mediation and other dispute resolution techniques.
Prior to studying law, Ms. Khan studied in the U.S., having completed her High School from Walled Lake Central High School in Michigan. During her time at Walled Lake Central, she participated in various extra-curricular activities including the Model UN Club, the Diversity Club and the German Club. She was also nominated and selected to be part of the Positive Peer Influence Program at the school for two years, an honour accorded to only five female students from each graduating class.
