Private poultry supplier moves the Permanent Court of Arbitration against a specialised agency of the UN seeking a multi-million rupee award

A private poultry business, represented by ABS & Co, has initiated arbitration proceedings before the Permanent Court of Arbitration against a specialised agency of the United Nations (UN). The claimant seeks a multi-million rupee claim against the agency for a breach of contract.

The Permanent Court of Arbitration, established by a treaty in 1899, is an intergovernmental
organization providing a variety of dispute resolution services to the international community. Based out of Hague, Netherlands it is the oldest institution for international dispute resolution. As a leading international arbitration institution, the Permanent Court of Arbitration has been instrumental in resolving disputes between parties across various sectors and industries.
