The launch of this practice fills a gap in the Pakistani legal market of a dedicated team specializing in public international law, providing strategic legal counsel to public and private sector clients navigating the intricate world of international transactions and disputes.
Maham is well-versed with all facets of public international law, having worked at both private law firms and the federal government of Pakistan. She has excellent command over intricacies of international law and the cross section of issues with governance and national security.
Previously, she was working as a Consultant at the Office of the Attorney-General for Pakistan, in the International Disputes Unit. She has been a part of the team that has represented the federal government in international legal cases and arbitrations. She has also represented the federal government in national security issues with India, including the Indus Waters Dispute.
Maham has trained at the Paris office of the international law firm, Shearman & Sterling LLP in the public international law and international arbitration group.
