Ahtesham Aamer is an Associate at ABS & Co’s Lahore office, where he primarily works in the corporate and commercial department, primarily dealing as part of the Dispute Resolution Practice. He also contributes to the firm’s Real Estate and Construction Practices. He has been involved in multiple arbitral proceedings, including drafting claims and representing clients in construction disputes. He regularly advises on corporate and commercial matters, procurement law, civil and appellate litigation. and legal drafting, providing legal opinions, conducting research, and reviewing and structuring agreements.

Ahtesham has advised clients including Habib Construction, Guarantee Engineers Ltd, Zahir Khan & Brothers, Sardar Muhammad Ashraf D. Baluch, Barqtron Engineering Solutions, Punjab Central Business District Development Authority, Ravi Urban Development Authority, and McDonald’s Pakistan, and his work spans construction arbitration, civil and commercial litigation, and corporate advisory matters.

Prior to joining ABS & Co., Ahtesham worked as a Legal Intern at the Competition Commission of Pakistan, Islamabad, assisting Law Officers with legal research, drafting briefs, and preparing submissions for cases before the Competition Appellate Tribunal and Islamabad High Court.

He completed his BA LL.B. from Punjab University Law College, Lahore, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Corporate Law and Practice.

ZKB-Reliable JV – Assisted in proceedings before the High Court defending the Interim Order of the Arbitral Tribunal, which was held not to be appealable under the Arbitration Act, 1940.
Habib Construction – Assisted in proceedings before the Civil Court in an Objection Petition against an arbitral award concerning a tax matter.
PAKSAT – Prepared and filed multiple recovery suits against various television companies for receivables.
Civil Service Matter – Represented a Punjab civil service officer in disciplinary proceedings under the PEEDA Act, 2005 before the Punjab Civil Services Tribunal.

  • SMADB-Shahrukh-JV in relation to multiple arbitration claims against the National Highway Authority (NHA) arising from the construction of the 2-Lane Basima–Khuzdar Highway (N-30).
  • Guarantee Engineers Private Limited in arbitration proceedings arising from disputes concerning the valuation of variation items and non-BOQ works under the Tertiary Care Hospital Building, Multan.
  • Guarantee Engineers Private Limited in arbitration proceedings arising from disputes concerning reduced variation rates and mismeasured quantities under the Recep Tayyip Erdogan Hospital, Muzaffargarh.
  • Barqtron Engineering Solutions in relation to the preparation of extension of time and cost claims arising from multiple projects, including the 220kV Underground Cable TL for Dhabeji-NTDC Interconnection (LILO Portion), 132kV Double-Circuit 1000 mm² UG Cable Installation (Shalimar Garden Section), and 132kV UG Cable Repair and Emergency Fault Works (Badami Bagh–Mochi Gate & Lot-I).
