ABS & Co’s Lahore based disputes practice group successfully represented Uniteed Bank Limited (UBL) in its recovery suit against Shama Exports.
The bank’s recovery suit for approximately Rs. 352 million was decreed by the High Court on 26 October 2021 jointly and severally against the principal borrower, Shama Exports, and other guarantors including the company’s directors and its associated undertaking, Amtex Limited. The bank has now commenced execution proceedings against Shama Exports and Amtex Limited.
Lahore based Bakhtawar Bilal Soofi, Zeerak Elahi and Anza Mahmood Lilla represented UBL in this matter.
