ABS & Co advised Pakistan Railways and helped draft and negotiate the initial version of the Master Software Services and Consultancy Agreement signed between Pakistan Railways and TallyMarks Consulting Private Limited in a ceremony held in Islamabad.
The agreement is for the deployment of SAP’s enterprise resource planning (ERP) system and is intended to inject transparency and efficiency into the operations of Pakistan Railways. TMC will provide several SAP based solutions to Pakistan Railways (SAP S/4HANA with SAP Ariba E-procurement) under a SaaS arrangement.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique said this will materialize the dream of digitalization of administrative and financial matters of Pakistan Railways. He said it was need of the hour to digitalize Pakistan Railways from manual things. The Minister said EPR system will not only save time but also conserve resources and enhance operation performance of Pakistan Railways. He said income and expenditure can be monitored now and tenders be floated in a transparent manner. He said service matters of current and retired employees will also be computerized.
ABS & Co’s team that negotiated and drafted the initial agreement was led by Bakhtawar Bilal Soofi, Anza Mahmood, Khadeeja Ahmed and Zeerak Elahi from the Lahore office.
