Bakhtawar speaks at EconFest in Lahore

Bakhtawar Bilal Soofi, Partner at ABS & Co’s Lahore office, spoke at EconFest organised by the Pakistan Institute of Development Economics (PIDE) as part of a Doha-style debate titled: “Is Corruption or Incompetence a Bigger Problem in Pakistan”.

Bakhtawar Soofi, Asad Rahim, Nazish Afar and Hamza Kardar speak at EconFestThe other speakers on the debate included Asad Rahim (Partner at Ashtar Ausaf LLP), Nazish Afraaz (Adjunct Faculty, LUMS) and Hamza Kardar (Management Consultant). Asad and Nazish argued that corruption was a bigger problem while Bakhtawar and Hamza argued that the incompetence was worse and had caused greater damage to the country. The debate was moderated by Dr. Nadeem-ul-Haque.

The debate was held on the first day of EconFest in Hall-3 of Alhamra Arts Council. The session was fully-packed and attended by people from all walks of life.
