In a groundbreaking deal for Pakistan’s tech sector, ABS & Co acted as transaction advisors to TallyMarks Consulting (TMC) Private Limited on its acquisition of Siemens Pakistan’s ERP Business.

Islamabad High Court strikes down section 7-E of Income Tax Ordinance 2001.

Our team consisting of Sabila Daraz Khan, Aiema Asrar and Fatima Midrar successfully brought a challenge to the vires of the section 7E of the Income Tax Ordinance 2001. ABS & Co’s team represented private clients in several petitions before the Islamabad High Court where section 7E of the Income Tax Ordinance had been challenged on the basis that it is ultra vires to the Constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan, 1973.

We’ve advised the owners of Quetta Gladiators on a partial sale of their equity stake in the PSL franchise to a Qatar-owned entity.

ABS & Co, led by Samar Masood, acted as transaction advisors for the acquisition of shares by JTA Int’l Investments in Quetta Gladiators. The transaction marks the first ever acquisition of any PSL team by a foreign company. NTDC’s plea before the National Electric Power Regulatory Authority

As the regulator of the power sector in Pakistan, NEPRA imposed a fine amounting to PKR 10 million on National Transmission and Despatch Company (NTDC) for the alleged failure of the national grid leading to an incident of partial blackout on 22 May 2021. It was contended by NTDC that the failure of the national grid was a direct consequence of winds cyclones, which caused the transmission lines to trip and resulted in the collapse and damage of the towers.
