Barrister Aiema Asrar is an Associate at ABS & Co’s Islamabad office where she works as part of the Litigation team. She completed her LL.B from Royal Holloway, University of London in 2018. During her studies, she interned at the office of the Attorney General for Pakistan. After graduation she joined the ABS & Co.

During her practice, she took a year off to complete her Bar Professional Course and was called to the Bar of England & Wales by the Honourable Society of Lincoln’s Inn.

In her practice she is handling matters pertaining to numerous areas of law including but not limited to commercial disputes, tax, employment, trade, banking and finance. Her litigation work consists of complex matters including recovery, employment and contractual suits of diverse nature. Her practice further consists of commercial arbitration.  

In addition to her litigation work, she is also looking after transactional work. She has advised private and public sector companies on corporate governance, with a particular focus on tax compliance, regulatory issues, drafting and vetting of corporate documents. 

Barrister Aiema is currently also drafting policies and rules in compliance with the requirements placed by international law. She is actively working on implementation of international conventions through domestic laws and providing legal assistance in the matter.

She frequently writes for the Express Tribune and has co-authored a book called “Good-Decision Making Under Pakistani Law, A Guide for Civil Servants”. She is also certified in “legal research” by Westlaw UK.
