Mr. Hussain holds a LL.B. from Bahria University Islamabad, where he has learned unique
written and oral communication skills, creative problem solving and drafting skills as well as had
grasped firm hold on the concepts and applicability of law. In fulfillment to the requirement of the
Law degree Mr. Hussain submitted his dissertation on “Protection of Pakistan Ordinance a
Critical and Contextual Analysis”. Mr. Hussain also served as Vice President of Bentham Law
Society at Bahria university for a tenure of 2 years.
Mr. Hussain after graduation practiced in District Courts Rawalpindi for a period of 1.5 years and
then proceeded to USA where he completed his LLM with major in International Commercial
Arbitration. During his time in the Law School Mr. Hussain participated in different training
sessions and assisted his professor in research projects. Mr. Hussain also participated in
several Arbitration conferences organized by American Arbitration Association where his focus
was on problems faced by young arbitrators globally and gender diversity in Arbitration. After
completion of his LLM programme Mr. Hussain returned to Pakistan he started independent
practice before joining ABS & Co in the year 2020.
Mr. Hussain is also member of Young Arbitration Group that has been established under the
auspices of Center for Investment and Commercial Arbitration. As a member he has participated
in many training workshops and seminars organized by YAG where his primary focus was on to
promote the applicability and understanding of Alternative Dispute Resolution in Pakistan.
After joining ABS & Co Mr. Hussain has assisted Mr. Ahmer Bilal Soofi and other Senior
Partners on several projects and cases, most recently worked on a joint venture under
Balochistan Mineral Rules and provided legal assistance. Currently he is appearing before
Courts in Islamabad, Abbottabad, Attock, Gilgit, Karachi and Quetta. He is part of the Litigation
Team at Islamabad Office. He holds a keen interest in Arbitration and Civil Litigation and is
looking forward to further his career. In addition to this he has been providing legal opinions for
clients at ABS & Co.
